Team 247, Da Bears, is a FIRST Robotics team based in Berkley, Michigan. Our team is comprised of about thirty members that include home-schooled students, and students from Berkley High School and Hazel Park High School. Additionally, the students are lucky enough to have several amazing and dedicated mentors to work with.

FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology), is an organization founded by Dean Kamen to further the involvement of math and science in our society. Team 247 has been involved with FIRST since 1999. In 2009, our most successful year to date, we received a District Chairman's Award at Traverse City, Michigan and placed second in the FIRST World Championship in Atlanta, Georgia.
